Registrar logging | Making life easier for you

Do you spend a lot of time logging your registrar hours? You’re not alone. 

We know that completing this task for registrars like yourself forms a really important part of your program as you work towards an Area of Practice Endorsement. And we also know that there is a better, easier and faster way to do this other than using old spreadsheets or paper forms. 

That’s why the APS has developed Registrar logging - an online tool to help you track your supervised practise hours efficiently and easily for your primary and secondary supervisors.

What is Registrar logging?

This new, free APS tool allows you easily to track your progress as you work towards registering for an Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE).  

Who can use the tool?

APS members who have completed an MPsych, MPsych/PhD, DPsych or a Post Masters Bridging GradDip (i.e. allowing you to obtain a second AoPE).  

How do I access the tool?

  1. Log into your Member dashboard
  2. Navigate to 'Member Services'
  3. Click 'Registrar Logging'
  4. Click 'Begin a New Registrar Program' and select 'Update Details'
  5. Add your specialised area and supervisor details and save
  6. Begin logging hours

Is it free?

Yes, it is free for all eligible APS members.   

Why should I use it?

To track your progress in a registrar program working towards an Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE). 

How is this different to what I have previously used?

If you are using a program such as Excel to track and monitor your hours, then you will find the Registrar logging to be much more sophisticated. You will have the ability to record and calculate your progress with the base hours required.
